Simple design with a twist-knob to really ensure the suction cup is secure.
The cups that come with the ledge are close to a 0.5oz cup in size/diameter, but is deeper like a 1oz cup. We suggest using 0.5oz plastic cups in place of the ones in the ledge. If you are using the disposable 1oz paper cups, we suggest to place them inside the cups included to give them rigidity and strength. The cups that come with the ledge are deep enough that small worms shouldn’t be able to escape.
Glass is the best material to suction cup this ledge to! If you have water staining on your glass, we suggest doing some prep work beforehand. To prep your glass and ensure you get the best adhesion, we suggest spraying your glass with water (or a diluted vinegar mixture if it’s thick), then using a brand new razer blade to scrape the water staining off the glass. Finish by wiping using a paper towel and 70+% isopropyl alcohol to really ensure the surface is clean of any residue.
You may use these with the suction cup underneath or above, both options work well! It just depends on your habitat setup.
